Received defective AC, grievance not resolvedWed, 11 Oct 2017 - ELECTRONICS - West Bengal
I purchased a 1.5 ton ac from PRAPTI ELECTRONICS silliguri West Bengal. I paid for the 185SY split AC 1.5 ton 5 star model and since the AC was to be transported the shop owner said the bill would be sent along the transporting vehicle after two days. I obliged to this and was away while the ac was installed after two days. Later when I checked the bill, it mentioned the model to be voltas 185JY 1.5 ton 5 star. I requested the owner of the shop to replace the AC and he assured that he would do it in a weeks time. Then he said it would take a months time and now he is not receiving my call.Now I see this as a clear case of fraud and deception.
Secondly the AC I received stopped cooling within a month. I raised complaints on customer care as per breakdown requests- 17092906179, 17100510144, 17101010759. It was fixed the first time but within a week it stopped working again and I raised another complaint to fix it. Since then my grievances haven't been resolved. It is almost end of summer now and we have only used it for a month since it is a defective piece. I realize that I have received a malfunctioning(defective) AC after being deceived and cheated by the showroom. I sincerely request VOLTAS to look into this matter and replace my AC asap.
