Overuse of FUP when I haven't used even 50% of the FUPSun, 25 Mar 2018 - INTERNET SERVICE - Karnataka
I would like to post an online complaint against ACT Broadband. I have recently switched to ACT Broadband with their starting plan ACT RAPID PLUS, that provides 100GB FUP at 50mbps speed. I have been using it as I had done with my previous broadband connection of another brand. But within 10 days of acquiring the connection, I received a message stating that I have utilized the complete FUP provided by the brand. I have shown them the proof of usage of the internet within the span of time that amounts to only 40GB. But they aren't ready to agree to that and they're adamant with their statement, "ACT Broadband has high tech equipment that saves data of even a byte used by the consumer".
I received many calls from them when I had contacted them to fix the broadband at my home. When I'm facing this problem, no one is ready to approach and solve the issue. Awake for the money is the right term we can use for such companies.
I would like to have a compensation paid, that is one month bill amount paid by me on the day of installation and that my internet works better again and that the company does not cheat me again by adding fake GBs to my account and stating that I consumed all the FUP provided by them.
I have been after them for the past week to rectify this problem, I have contacted them via phone, email and many other possible ways, unfortunately they have zero respect for their existing customers.
I hope from this site I can have my problem resolved.
